i cant drag the thing out of the tools bar so i cant add things from the web onto my post
G’day Rhys,
What are you trying to add to your post from the web? Remember anything you add has to have permission from the owner or a creative commons license. This is because your class blog is going out to the public.
Hi, I was just wondering how I can add hyperlinks to another web address in my posts?
see my latest post (crosswords)
Hi Matt,
In your post, highlight the words you want your visitors to click on that will lead them to the other website. Go to the website and copy the link URL found at the top of the page – begins http:// Come back to your post. Look at the icons above the post page and find the chain link – click on this, paste in the URL. Make sure you don’t end up with 2 http:// bits. Make sure you click open in new window. Then hit submit button.
If you need more help, go to the Help and support at Edublogs and check under posts and hyperlinks.
Hello,
My class is taking part in quad blogging but the other schools are having trouble leaving comments because of the requirement to leave an email when leaving a comment. Is it possible for them to leave a comment without having an email account?
Thanks
Lincoln P.
Montagu Bay P.S.
Lincoln,
You could always go to your dashboard>settings>discussion and untick must leave name and email. Not sure what would appear then when leaving a comment.
Hi Miss W
How do I add a sub page within another page like
Assignments then when you hover over it it comes up underneath it like History etc etc
Thanks
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
Do you mean a category rather than page? Go to your dashboard> posts> post categories Put in Assignments and save it.
Now go back in again and put in history but make the parent assignments. Keep doing this for each subject you might have assignments in.
Hi Miss W
I would like avatars to show with posts. Is this possible?
Also, I have set up each student as a separate page, but it appears that they can only enter posts as a reply. Is this correct?
many thanks
Mr N
G’day Mr Nichols,
Students would need to add their avatar as an image to each post they write. I notice you have students with their own pages but students need to be editor role to be able to write their own pages.
It is better to have a post category called Student Posts, then as each student writes a post, they click Student Post and also they have their own Tag with their own first name.
If you want help with setting this up, get in touch with me again.
Thanks – very helpful
