  1. G’Day Mackenzie,
A great introduction, but you might want to separate it into a few paragraphs – Maybe one about class and blog, one on sports and one on animals.

  2. Hi, Mackenzie

It sound like you don’t have much spare time in your life! When did Tayla start basketball and when you go to basket ball do u make friends

    Bye, Caitlin :)

    • Hey Caitlin
Tayla started basketball when she was 8 or 9 but i was 6. and yes when i go to basketball i make friends like Jess, Charlotte, Earon, Sophie, Laura, Page and some other people in other teams because the people that are just in my team there not my only friends in basketball i also have people from the other teams.

  3. Hello Mackenzie,
Your All About me page is very interesting….. It sounds like you have some fun hobbies and pets. Your dogs sound cute. Basketball sounds a very exciting occasion for your family. How long have you been doing basketball for?

    Bye for now…… Annabel

  4. Hi Mackenzie,
It sounds like your life is very busy and interesting.
My cousin David Finau plays basketball and is very good at it. He wouldn’t be as good as Tayla though. It sounds like you really enjoy sport.

  5. Hi Mackenzie,

First of all I love the photograph at the top of your blog. I suppose it is of a dog, though it could also be a wolf! I love the steady way the animal is looking out at the camera and the intelligence in its eyes.

I enjoyed reading all about you. I was particularly interested in reading about your dogs, because I love dogs.

We have a Japanese Akita. These dogs have a very interesting history. They were not known about outside Japan until after the 2nd World War, when ex service men, took Akitas back to America.

They are known for being loyal and protective. When Japanese warriors went to war in the Middle Ages, Akitas were left to protect the wives and families. Though Ireland is a relatively safe country, I always feel extra safe with our dog.

Are your dogs good guard dogs? Our dog barks and looks fierce but if someone came in, she would probably befriend them,

    With every good wish,
    Merry Beau

    • G’day Merry
Everything about your dog was very amazing and thankyou for leaving a comment on my blog. We act like our dogs are family and we think everyone should act like that. The picture on the top of my blog is a Mackenzie Valley wolf. And it has my name in it YA. My dogs as i said before are german shephards and are apart of our family but they are a guard dogs and are very nice some people think they will hurt you but they will not they are very sweet and cute and very nice Hugo would do anything for us but Hamish is one of those cuddly dogs that just want kisses and hugs. Your dogs sound very interesting and i would love to found out more about your dogs they sound very interesting. My dogs bark a lot and love the hose and going swimming but everytime the hose comes he has the best time ever he loves it. We also love taking them for walks. And thankyou again for leaving a comment if you could reply i would love you to thankyou.

  6. Hi Mackenzie,
Your cyber pet looks great. But you might want to create him again and not change the width this time. It should fit in your sidebar leaving it at 250. Use another text box to put him in like we did in online class.

I have changed the post again to leave the width at 250.

    • Hi Miss W
I have changed my backround because i didnt change the size of my widget and when you said i did i got a little confused. I think it was the backrounds fault so i changed it and now it is working. Thank you.:)

  7. Thank you for your interesting reply. I would agree with you that one should treat one’s dog like a family member. Certainly we do :) We act like our dogs are family and we think everyone should act like that.

The Mackenzie Valley wolf at the top of your page looks very intelligent, noble and dignified. German Shepherds are big dogs. Big dogs have big brains, I think. I can just imagine your dogs enjoying playing with the hose and swimming.

Our dog loves water too. We wouldn’t be without her.

Good luck with your blog. I will visit again in a few weeks and see how you are getting on.

    • Hi Merry
I have just went on Google images and searched up your dogs name and you know we were going to get one of those Japanese Akita because my sister loves them and has always wanted one i have to i love there nice big boofy heads witch could fit a nice big smart brain in it and they are very cute.
I think i might do my next post on my dogs and if you have a look at it you might find out a bit more about German Shepherds and my dogs.:)
      Thank you for replying.
Do you have a blog? If you do i will check it out.
      I hope you learnt more.

  8. Hello again Mackenzie,

I’m glad you saw an Akita on Google and that you agree with me that they are lovely dogs.

As I mentioned they are known for their loyalty. There is a movie based on a true story of Akita loyalty. It is called Hachiko and stars Richard Gere. I can’t watch it as I am a softie and it is too sad.

In January 1924 a professor in Japan brought home an Akita pup. The professor, Dr. Ueno named the pup Hachiko.

This dog accompanied Dr. Ueno to the Shibuya train station every morning, where Dr. Ueno would say goodbye to Hachiko. Every evening when Dr. Ueno returned home Hachiko would be waiting for him at the train station.

If things had continued like this, the story would still be one of admirable faithfulness from a dog to its master. But that was not the fate of Dr. Ueno and his loyal Akita Hachiko.

Sadly a little over a year later Dr. Ueno went to work and never came back because he had passed away.Every evening Hachiko would return to the station and wait for his master. The dog did this for over ten years until his own death and he was celebrated for this. They built a statue to commemorate him. So you can see how loyal Akitas are as a breed.

I hope you enjoyed that story and that it didn’t make you too sad.

Our class blog is called ‘If only the best birds sang’.

    With every good wish,
    Merry Beau

    • Thanks Merry

Also have you checked out our class blog?
And that story that you told me was very sweet and sad and i think i might of seen that movie in it the guy that goes away and never comes back did he have a heart attack because if it is i watched that with my Nan it is still a very nice movie though.
