What a wonderful world

A couple of years ago I saw a puppeteer, Raymond Crowe, on television. He performed a routine to the music of Louis Armstrong’s “It’s a Wonderful World” where he used his hands and a single light to create a silhouette of animals and people.

We will be doing silhouette art in class and I thought you might like to see a performance of shadow puppetry that really impressed me.  The video is attached below.

    This is a great video. I think I may have seen it before but loved watching it again. Three adjectives that I thought of whilst watching were: amazing, brilliant and spectacular.

    Have you created shadow pictures before? Have you seen the intricate shadow puppet plays that are performed in countries like Indonesia?

    I think it was really cool the way the man did the tricks. My favourites were the baby fingers and the singing man.

    My three adjectives are great, amazing and fantastic.
