My choice would have to be Running Wild by Michael Morpurgo as it can get really emotional at times, and when you stop reading you want to read it again and again and again.

I have recently been reading a book called The Hidden Monastery. I think that if I was a book week judge this is the book I would choose because it’s really affective and makes you fell like your apart of the book. It probably wouldnt be easy for the younger kids to read but I do think its a great book. It has many extra details and that’s why it makes it so affective. I hope that many people read this soon, as it is a great book to read.

I rekon that 26 story tree house should be winner because it has many fun chapters (26 to be exact) and it has a funny song to go with the funniness of the book. The book has many different charaters including Andy and Terry. It is a better book than 13 story tree house.

If I had to choose a book to win book week, I would choose Henry Hoey Hobson to win. Henry Hoey Hobson is a book that can express how some children may feel at high school. If a child is feeling like an outcast in highschool, then they would know what henry was going through. As the story opens up the further that you read through the story, the more you feel sorry for henry. Henry starts the story with no father and a new school that is built around a religion that henry doesn`t believe in. This book was written by Christine Bongers, who I think has done a brilliant job with Henry Hoey Hobson.

I think that the book just disgusting by andy griffiths is the best kids book because its very funny for kids they are really weird and i think every one would like it. It has 9 stories in the 1 book the stories are called 101 really disgusting things, bressel sprouts, go to bed cake of doom, two brown blobs, shut up, fun with andy and danny, deadflyella and the story of the very stupid boy and the very big slug.

I would choose The Lord Of The Rings, Percy Jackson or Heroes Of Olympus because they are some of my favourite books in the world. They have lots of action and all through the books there are sarcastic jokes.

The book i would pick a winner is ‘The book that eats people’ because it is a really great book and it is very funny. It is a fiction book. The characters are a red book and some people. The book is about a book that a boy had and it ate him. At the end of the book the book goes to a zoo.

I think “The Spooks nightmare” should be a short listed book for children because it is very interesting and has lots of mythical creatures.

      Hi Megan,
I am very pleased to see you put quotation marks around the book. I know you are very keen on the book and your costume was fantastic. Check your last sentence and see where you could put some more fullstops. Your writing indicates how much you enjoy the book.

I would choose Charlotte’s Web, because it tells the story in the writers perspective, rather than in a main characters perspective. It also tells that never to believe that you have no friends, that there is always someone there is the world even if you don’t know they exist. Another reason why I would choose Charlotte’s Web as a short listed book is because it tells stories about other animals, and also has some interesting facts in the book as well! I strongly recommend that you should read this book, well if you haven’t already, it is a really touching story, and I’m sure that everyone else will love it or does love it!
