Welcome to the Tasmanian eSchool blogging site.
We are hoping many schools from Tasmania will begin creating class blogs.
This website will be an area where you can find other Tasmanian classes to communicate with. You will also be able to connect on a global scale. See the list on the left sidebar of schools we know want to communicate with us.
This website will also be an area where you can learn how to blog. There will be pages on setting up a class blog. There will be posts about different web 2.0 tools you could be using in your blog. There will also be posts about creative commons and how to use images, video and music on your blogs without breaking copyright.
Blogging is all about sharing and there are many other websites that will also help you with your blogging. You will also find four blog sites mentioned under the ‘Get help here’ on the left sidebar.
- Help and Support – step by step how to do things on your blog
- The Edublogger – tips for adding to your blog
- Teacher blogging challenge – includes information on how to set up your class blog, how to blog with students, tools to use in your blog and how to develop your PLN (Personal learning network)
- Student blogging challenge – lots of ideas for posts for students to write about on your class blog. Try out the ideas and join the next challenge in March or September
Finally we hope you enjoy your blogging and feel free to ask any questions.
